Melplast

DESCRIPTION:

AT-MELPLAST is highly effective water-reducing agent and super-plasticizer based on melamine technology for promoting accelerated hardening and free flowing concrete. STANDARDS: AT-MELPLAST compiles with ASTM C 494-81 Type F

USES:

• AT-MELPLAST as a super-plasticizer for free flow concrete in:
  • Floor slabs
  • Foundations
  • Slender components with packed reinforcement
  • Walls & columns
  • Beams & ceiling

• AT-MELPLAST as a water-reducer for the manufacture of :
  • Pre – cast concrete elements
  • Bridges and cantilever structures
  • Pre – stressed concrete
  • Area of concrete where formwork must be removed quickly or early loading applied

ADVANTAGES:

• AT-MELPLAST provides the following properties :
  • AS A SUPER-PLASTICIZER : Substantial improvement in workability without increased water
    or the risk of segregation. Normal set without retardation, even when over closed. Improved density and surface finish.
  • AS A WATER REDUCER: Up to 35% water reduction. 40% increase in 28 days strengths. High strengths after 8 hours. Increased frost-resistance. Increased water-tightness.

DOSAGE

• 600-3000 cc per 100 kg of cement weight. Exact dosage rates are dependent on the type of effect sought, quality of cement and aggregates, water / cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trail mixes.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE:

• APPLICATION
  • AT-MELPLAST can be added separately to the freshly mixed concrete or directly to the mixing water prior to its addition to the aggregates. When added separately to the freshly mixed concrete, further mixing should take place for at least one minute per cubic meter.

• IMPORTANT INDICATION
  • Accidental overdosing of AT-MELPLAST may cause segregation. In this case it is advisable to prolong mixing time until concrete become normal.

• SPECIFICATION :
  • Concrete shall be designed in accordance with ACI211.1-89 standard recommended practice for selecting proportions for concrete and shall contain a super-plasticizer which shall be AT-MELPLAST as manufactured by ADO. It shall be used in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation.

  200 ltr/ drum , 1000 ltr/tote, Bulk
• Shelf life is 12 months unopened condition

HEALTH & SAFETY:

• Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
• Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water.
• Store in well-labeled containers.
• If required get medical attention.
