Laker

DESCRIPTION:

AT-LAKER is a solvent based, low sheen, crystal clear, deep penetrating coating for decorative concrete, stone, natural and manmade masonry surfaces. AT-LAKER provides a “damp-wet” appearance which enhances and beautifies the natural color of the applied masonry surface. Non yellowing AT-LAKER coating, seals against food stains, gasoline, grease, oils, water and acid. Its deep bonding formula resists peeling, chipping, cracking and UV degradation.

RECOMMENDED SURFACE FOR USAGE:

  • Natural stone, masonry and decorative concrete (outdoor patios, walkways, driveways, garage floors, concrete slabs, sidewalks, retaining walls and BBQ areas)
  • Not intended for use on dense, glazed, polished, or non-absorbing surfaces (ceramic tile, porcelain tile), wood floors and decks, showers, countertops, and near pool areas

COVERAGE & DRY TIME:

  • Coverage varies based on porosity and texture of surface. Test advisable before application.
    • 1 kg coat will cover 125 sq.ft to 150sq.ft.
  • Dry Time:
    • Touch Dry : 10-15 minutes

DIRECTION FOR USE:

  • Always advisable to test in an inconspicuous area to determine desired results and also to ensure good adhesion. Surface must be thoroughly cleaned and dried before application. AT-LAKER should not be applied on wet or moist surface. Not recommended for areas with high moisture intrusion from surface below.
  • Application to a dirty or dusty surface will affect adhesion.
  • Allow newly cleaned surface to completely dry prior to applying AT-LAKER.
  • Avoid applying in direct sunlight. Apply in air temperatures between 55–80ºF and on a cool, dry surface. Use only in well ventilated areas.
  • While wearing an organic vapor respirator, liberally apply 2–4 even coats with a solvent-resistant natural bristle brush or roller. Failure to apply a sufficient amount of AT-LAKER to the surface may result in chipping or degradation of the coating. More coats may be applied if desired. Do not thin before using.
  • Allow 1–3 hours between coats or until surface is dry to the touch.
  • After application, do not walk on surface until AT-LAKER is completely cured. AT-LAKER will cure in 24–48 hours.
  • Rags and equipment that are wet with product may be flammable. Clean up promptly after job is complete. Clean equipment with lacquer thinner and allow drying in a well-ventilated area. Allow rags to dry in a well-ventilated area out of the reach of children and pets. When dry, dispose of in accordance with local waste disposal regulations.
  • AT-LAKER can be re-applied over existing coat of Lacquer to touch up scratches, bubbles, footprints, etc. No stripping is required. Finished surfaces may be slippery when wet.

PACKAGING & STORAGE:

  • AT-LAKER is available in the following pack:
    • 20 kg HDPE container
  • Shelf life is 36 months when stored in correct conditions. Shelf life is shortened once container is opened.
  • Protect from frost. Store in clean, dry conditions between 5°C and 30°C.
  • Stir material well before use

STORAGE & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • WARNING
    • FLAMMABLE – Keep away from heat, sparks and open flames. HARMFUL – IF SWALLOWED. Do not ingest. HARMFUL VAPORS. Avoid prolonged exposure to vapors. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Open all windows and doors to prevent vapor build-up. MAY CAUSE EYE, SKIN AND RESPIRATORY IRRITATION if used wrongly. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear protective gloves, eyewear and a NIOSH approved organic vapor respirator when applying. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not store above 100°F/38°C. Do not mix with other chemicals.
  • EMERGENCY / FIRST AID TIPS
    • INGESTION: Do not induce vomiting. Call poison control center. Call a Medical Practitioner if required.
    • EYE CONTACT: Flush thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if applicable, and continue flushing. Call a Medical Practitioner if required.
    • SKIN CONTACT: Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and water. Call a physician if skin irritation persists. Launder affected clothing before re-wearing.
    • INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Call a Medical Practitioner if irritation, nausea, dizziness or respiratory problems persist.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
  • Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water.
  • Store in well-labeled containers.
