Heat Gard

DESCRIPTION:

AT-HEAT GARD is a solvent free, single component, elastomeric liquid membrane specially designed to cure to form a flexible, seamless, heat resistant and waterproofing membrane. It is suitable for light foot traffic. It has excellent adhesion over most substrates like timber, clay tile, concrete and brick walls.

RECOMMENDED USES:

  • As an economical seamless membrane to concrete, timber, metal substrate, R.C. roof slabs, basements, water retaining structures, concrete / slate or metal roof tiles, plaster brick wall, AC sheets retaining wall, etc.
  • AT-HEAT GARD can also be used as decorative repair, waterproof and heat resistant coating to hairline cracks in brick wall plasters.
  • AT-HEAT GARD is excellent in reducing interior temperature which leads to comfort and also saves electricity consumption (reduces load on AC).
  • Suitable for Domestic and Commercial Buildings, Metal Tanks, Cold Storage, Computer Server Station, Electric Panel Rooms, Bunker, etc

FEATURES:

  • Heat Insulation – Reduces the conductivity of heat from exterior to interior, thus lowers the temperature.
  • Solar Reflectance – 83.8% solar reflectance (as per ASTM E-903), re-radiate heat back to atmosphere
  • UV and IR Resistant – Resistance to UV & IR emission; protects coating from damage and reduces heat conductivity.
  • Microbial Resistant – Resistance to algae and fungus growth results into lesser maintenance.
  • Non-Toxic Water Based System – Eco friendly

ADVANTAGES:

  • Reduces surface heat due to high heat reflectance, capable of reducing inner temperature upto 5⁰C depending on surface condition
  • Excellent energy saving property thus helps in reducing electrical consumption for air-conditioners, saves energy cost
  • Excellent waterproofing properties
  • Flexible & elastomeric
  • Easy to apply
  • Environmentally friendly and non toxic
  • Good resistance to aging & ultra violet degradation
  • Protects concrete spalling & has anti carbonation properties
  • Easy to repair / re-coat able

COVERAGE:

  • AT-HEAT GARD PRIMER = 2 – 2.2 sq.mtr/kg of material per coat.
  • AT-HEAT GARD = 1 – 1.5 sq.mtr/kg of material per coat. For better results 2nd coat recommended.

APPLICATION METHOD:

  • Clean all dirt, grime, oil etc
  • Apply AT-HEAT GARD PRIMER (AT-HEAT GARD : WATER = 1 : 1, by weight) as a priming coat with short nap roller or airless spray followed by 2 neat top coats of AT-HEAT GARD, with interval of at least 3 hrs between each coat

APPLICATION METHOD:

  • Apply fibre glass (for heavy duty) between 1st and 2nd coat; when 1st coat is still sticky

IMPORTANT To avoid blistering of the coating, the 1st coat application of AT-HEAT GARD must be of thin coating. Allow the 1st coat to dry for at least 3 hours before the 2nd coat can be applied. INSTRUCTION FOR USE:

  • SURFACE PREPARATION
    • Ensure that the surface is free from dirt, oil and grime
    • Plaster / Concrete – Repair crack lines and honeycomb concrete if any.
    • Roof Tiles – Water blast surface & remove fungus or dirt.
    • Metal surface – Sandblast / Water blast with inhibitors or power grind to remove stains.
  • CLEANING
    • Clean all tools and equipments immediately after use.
