Crete Latex

DESCRIPTION:

AT-CRETE LATEX is a SBR based synthetic rubber emulsion which when added to cement mortar or concrete/grout provides good bond strength and water resistance.

STANDARDS:

AT-CRETE LATEX conforms to ASTM C1059, ASTM C1042 and BS 6319 – 2:1983

USES:

  • AT-CRETE LATEX is used as concrete additive, as repair mortar for plaster and also for treatment of columns and roofs.
  • It can also be used for waterproofing of overhead tanks, basements, roofs and fixing of bricks/tiles.
  • It can be extensively used as bonding agents for cold joints, for old-new and old-old concrete surfaces.
  • Especially used at bridge decks, overlaying of any concrete on concrete surface.
  • Effective for areas having high humidity or immerged in water.
  • Can also be used as a protective coat on concrete plaster.

ADVANTAGES:

  • AT-CRETE LATEX is a highly effective multipurpose styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) admixture for bonding, waterproofing & repair. Key benefits are:
    • Excellent crack bridging properties
    • Increases the mechanical properties of mortar
    • Shows extremely good bonding to bases like concrete, stone, brick etc.
    • Corrosion protective properties for saline environment, effectively admixed with concrete results in neat coat/-plaster without any blow holes
    • Compatible with all kind of cements-OPC,PPC, SRC,RHC and slag
    • Reduces Saltpeter Action on mortar/concrete/Brick

INSTRUCTION FOR USE:

  • SURFACE PREPARATION
    • Before application of AT-CRETE LATEX check that surface(s) should be clean from loose particles, dust, oil, grease, acids, and other organic solvents.
  • APPLICATION
    • AT-CRETE LATEX can be applied by brush, broom, spray or by pouring according to the construction requirement. (However while using the product, we recommend to please consult with our technical team for professional support and guidelines).
    • Following are some specified examples of application of AT-CRETE LATEX
APPLICATION TYPE MIX DESIGN
PLASTER MORTAR SLURRY: AT-CRETE LATEX: Water = 1:4 Cement : Sand (Zone II/III): Slurry = 1:2.5:0.40-0.45 (Depending upon the site conditions, application substrate, water absorption of sand and zone, and of course the cement type and consistency )
REPAIR MORTAR SLURRY: AT-CRETE LATEX: Water = 1:4 FOR THICKNESS UPTO 25 MM Cement : Sand (Zone II/III) : CA10 :

Slurry = 1:2.5:4.6:0.43-0.50 FOR THICKNESS OVER 25 MM

Cement : Sand ( Zone II/III ) : CA 10 : CA 20 : Slurry = 1:2.5:2.4:1.2:0.42-0.50 (Depending upon the site conditions, application substrate, water absorption of sand and zone, and of course the cement type and consistency )

BONDING AGENT Cement :AT-CRETE LATEX = 2 : 1 (Ratio may be adjusted to pourable consistency in case of congested reinforcement)
CORROSION PROTECTIVE SLURRY Cement :AT-CRETE LATEX = 2 : 1
INJECTION GROUTING Cement :AT-CRETE LATEX : Water = 5:0.5:2
