Coat(AC)

DESCRIPTION:

AT-COAT (AC) is a-two component high build epoxy coating system for protection of metal surface as well as concrete surface in a wide range of corrosive conditions.

STANDARDS:

AT – COAT (AC) complies with ASTM B117-11 and IS: 9162-1979 (R2001)

USES:

  • AT-COAT (AC) can be used for the following structures:
    • Concrete Floors
    • Offshore Steel Platform
    • Fertilizer Plants
    • Ship Painting
    • Chemical Plants
    • Tank lining

POT LIFE 6-8 hrs

COVERAGE:

  • Concrete : Approximately 5-6 sq.mtr/kg of mixed material per coat (depending on nature and porosity of substrate)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  • SURFACE PREPARATION:
    • Degrease and clean the surface with mechanical tools or manual cleaning by wire brush. Remove any loose rust/scale and clean the surface and dry before application of AT-COAT (AC).
  • MIXING:
    • 2:1 Base: Accelerator (by weight)

APPLICATION:

  • Apply AT-COAT (AC) by Brush or Spray. Airless spray is essential to get required high film build and uniform finish. Apply suitable primer like Zinc Rich / Zinc Phosphate wherever required before application of AT-COAT (AC).

PACKAGING & STORAGE:

  • AT-COAT (AC) is available in the following pack:
    • 30 kg system pack (pre-weighted)
    • COMPONENT A = 20 kg & COMPONENT B 10 kg
  • Shelf life is 12 months in sealed containers as provided, between +10°C and +30°C
  • Protect AT-COAT (AC) from direct sunlight
  • Keep containers sealed and away from heat and cold in a well ventilated area
  • Stir material well before use.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
  • Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water.
  • Store in well-labeled containers.
